PHYSICIAN EXTENDERS

Hello, I am looking for documentation of what counts as a physician extender. Would an optometrist count as a physician extender? Is an optometrist able to capture HCC codes?

Any help would be appreciated

Optometry is its own Taxonomy and Specialty, not a Physician Extender as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner would be. Hope this helps.
